			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><font face="Consolas">The Reference Interest Group (RIG) of the WLA is beginning a series of monthly reference library tours of libraries in the Puget Sound Region. </font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">Tours are free and are open to all.</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">Tours will take place on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning on February 4, of the King County Law Library, and March 4, of the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library.</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">The first tour this year will take place at the King County Law Library</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">(KCLL) on Wednesday February 4th from 3-4:30pm, followed by a happy hour at the Triple Door in downtown Seattle.</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">Rita Kaiser who is a Reference Services Librarian at KCLL will discuss the following topics:</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">1. How to translate legal questions into language you can understand 2. When to refer these questions to KCLL 3. What resources to use to answer legal based questions on your own</font></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>All Seattle librarians, future librarians, library junkies, family and friends are invited to the <strong>Seattle Reference Trivia Challenge!</strong> This will be a library-inspired take on traditional trivia nights with <strong>prizes </strong>and <strong>bragging rights</strong><strong> </strong>to the winning players.</p>
<p>Teams or individuals will be asked questions inspired by library reference questions and will have to search the internet to find the answers. The team with the most correct answers at the end of an hour of searching will win gift certificates to <strong>Third Place Books</strong> and snazzy RIG swag. <strong>This event will be held at</strong><strong> </strong><a href="http://www.caferacerseattle.com/home.html"><strong>Cafe Racer</strong><strong> </strong></a><strong>(5825 Roosevelt Way NE) on Jan 18th from 5-7 pm.</strong><strong> </strong>Cafe Racer also offers full coffee service, a selection of beers, wines, and liquors, as well as a full food menu with amazing sandwiches and possibly the best hot-dogs in Seattle, so you can be well fed and quench your thirst while you have some trivia fun. </p>
